[Enhancement] Armors on Immersive Vehicles

Since MTS is upgrading to 1.16.5, would it be possible to make it possible to create armors with OBJ models?
MTS already has a lot going for content pack creation (vehicles, decors, standalone parts, guns, ...) and one of the things that would help make some content packs complete would be to allow for armors to be made for it!
Already in 1.12.2, we have to contempt with mods that do not wish to become compatible with IV to provide armor contentpack support (i.e. Modular Warfare), but at least there was a way to provide armors. In 1.16.5, there are virtually no mod that allow to add OBJ models armors in a content pack, so I believe it'd be a great addition! I believe it would also help people decide on using MTS, because it would have most features someone wants to start creating content!

On my end, I have a WW1 content pack for MTS, and a WW1 modular warfare content pack for the armors. I would love to be able to upgrade my content to 1.16.5 and porting everything to a single content pack! It would simplify the process for players and would even allow me to finally use the Curseforge launcher to distribute my content (Modular Warfare content pack cannot be properly installed on CF launcher)

I want to do this, but it'll be a significant change to the rendering systems for 16. If there's a market and you have a pack of content ready to go, I very well could see about implementing this.

I've got hats available, they're not exactly a pack's worth of content but they would be going into a pack's worth of content, and they're certainly not the final amount of armor types either...

(Plus a fun fact, some items in IVV can be worn visually as hats if you use /replaceitem...)
