Is there anyway to obtain a greater variety engines or customise their statistics so that they could have more power or consume less fuel so the plane could fly further?

Not in MFS, that's for sure. That version hasn't been supported in years, along with 1.7.10 of Minecraft. Is there a reason you're not updating?
