[Suggestion] Road stairs and microblocks/slabs.

While laying roads i tend to place stair blocks when the elevation changes, following the terrain smoothly. The problem though is that stairs doesn't receive the speed boost.
While this is fine from a realism standpoint, that walking stairs isn't as fast as walking on flat terrain, it does feel really out of place with the constant speedup being applied by the road followed by slow speeds of walking one block high stairs.
So anyways, is it possible to derive the vanilla stairs?
Giving them the road texture (perhaps with the lit road variants as well) and speed boosts?
EDIT: Oops, forgot the second part of my suggestion...
While i am okay with the current roads being fullsize blocks, i would love it if there was an alternative where it was 0.0625 blocks high and/or one with 0.125 block height. (1/16th and 1/8th respectively)
These would be laid on top of the existing terrain rather than digging out the ground to slot them level with the existing terrain.
I know i could probably add them to the Forge Microblocks config but wouldn't they lose their speed boost properties by doing so? I guess i should have tested that before asking, so forgive me if I am being ignorant here.
