Good call out. I felt like it was fairly intuitive, but obviously I'm pretty biased. I should include more information besides the basic "look at this thing!". I'll make sure the next update (whether it's a bug fix or whatever) includes more information in the Patchouli guide book.

In the meantime, here's a quick breakdown:

• Right-click in the air to open the painter's inventory
• Fill the painter with up to a stack of each kind of dye
• Use the = key to cycle through colors (configurable in the Minecraft controls screen)
• Right-click on a colored block (full blocks only for now, things like beds, carpets, glass panes, will be added in the future) to change it to the currently selected color, assuming that color dye isn't empty in the painter's inventory.
