The player can enter his Land without actually having reeds around him.
That basically means one can get unable to keep playing once entering the Middle, as no way to get captchalogue cards will be left.

Suggestions:

• Make the player able to plant sugar canes from edit mode (currently forbidden)
• Add an alternate way to get captchalogue cards (random loot from enemies in the Middle?)
• Implement the sylladex (or a placeholder for it), thus removing the need of cards
• Give a manual mode to the totem lathe so we can type 11111111 and get cards from grist

Additional note: Until issue is fixed, the mod Ex Nihilo features a workaround by sieving dirt for sugar cane seeds.

Other additional note: No pun intended in the title.

After finishing the deploy list (and the first half of the captcha deck), I could make sure that you could give the client player a punched captcha card (with a captcha card). This feature will then be available to be turned on in the config file.
