Absorption hopper doesn't pick up XP after unloading chunks.

The absorption hopper does not accept XP that was dropped from the mob grinder after unloading the chunk and then returning.
I have my mob farm roughly 40 blocks away and I am using the Dreadful Dirt to spawn mobs.
Version: mob_grinding_utils-1.16.5-0.4.30
Forge Version: 36.2.8
Modpack: SkyFactory One
