No, I am not using version 1.21

Describe the bug

Kobolds of all types keep spawning inside my house and surrounding area, it is well lit with torches, but despite that they spawn anyway, I live in a Jungle/Mangrove split biome, I thought they were supposed to be friendly until attacked(?) but they all behave like hostile mobs, and spawn through torches..

You can use a mod such as Magnum Torch to prevent them from spawning until I figure out the issue. Regarding their behaviour, it has recently been overhauled, and you can read more about it in the mod page/wiki.

I just used the magnum torch mod as suggested, the diamond one, and it seems to not work(?) it prevents Monster spawns, but are Kobolds a Monster mob type or another type? I can try the emerald one for Creature type, the blue one is for fish, which I'm guessing won't work on kobolds :v

Kobolds are of type Monster, not sure why it doesn't work.

I am seeing the same with Chupacabra's in a Plains biome on 1.20.1 with v2.0.3

Hopefully fixed with 8cfb21a (this update is only available for 1.21+)
