Step-up transformers can be chained, directly next to each other and will feed into the block connected to the black square as expected.

Step-down transformers will only feed into cables. They will not directly feed into any other transformer, storage, or machine.

Tested using LV and Superconductor storage, and electric furnace w/o upgrades.
