Pipe config card is consuming blocks and not appling the camoflage in survival

Neoforge 20.4.234
MC 1.20.4
MI version: Modern-Industrialization-2.0.20-all
Basically copying a block and trying to apply it to a pipe results in the block being consumed and the message that you dont have the block in your inventory. This works fine in creative mode.
