Cannot place Flak 38?

I may just be an idiot but for some reason I cannot place the Flak 38 on the ground in minecraft. Am I just missing a button or something?

The Flak-38 is not meant to be placed, but is a gun for the S-100 boat. Maybe this should be made clear in the game somewhere.
