Had an Abandoned Study spawn on a TiCon slime island. 2 cobblestone columns pierced the island, down to the ocean floor below.

I don't know that this will be fixed soon because the abandoned study is actually very tall (all the redstone stuff underneath). This means the bottom reached all the way down and found that there was no ground beneath it. But I will add it to my list of things to check out.
