With More Overlays Updated enabled: Significant FPS drop near bamboo, game becomes stop-motion animation.
With More Overlays Updated disabled: No noticeable FPS drop near bamboo.

Not sure what exactly is the cause here, although I believe I did have the spawn overlay active at the time (Default hotkey F7?)
