Version Info

  • Minecraft, ... 1.21.1 Fabric
  • Moving Elevators, ... 1.14.11

Are you using OptiFine?: ... Nope!

Description of the Bug
... When placing down the controller, then add another above the first as described on the mod page it links the two together as you would expect floor0, floor1 etc...

As I go into the first controller on the ground level, there should be a 3d preview of the cabin area, But all I get is a grey box. The images below is me testing it.

Not sure if this is relevant to the mod, but my graphics is an AMD R9 380

Apart from the cabin display not working the mod works fully and im able to guess the size of the cab, and it moves as intended.
Great mod otherwise!

Steps to Reproduce
...

  1. place down 2 controllers, one above the first.
  2. Go to edit the cabin area on the first controller, then look at the 3d preview plane
  3. No display in the preview area/box

This works fine with just Moving Elevators installed, so it is likely caused by some other mod you have. Can you narrow down which other mod is needed to reproduce the issue?

Just going through my mods and disabled them all, then re-enabling 5 at a time. I got about 130+- mods, most are libraries

Might take a little bit lol

Got a possible result.
It seems that this mod is partially compatible with the Etherology mod, but the mod (or its dependencies) mess up the 3d preview.
might also be in the trinkets mod since its required for the Etherology mod.

Just tried all the mods except Etherology and the 3d view works. Then I tried just this mod and the Etherology mod and would you believe it, it also works!
But when I re-add all my mods back with the Etherology mod, the 3d display bugs out again.

The mods in question are:

  1. Etherology-1.21-0.1.7.jar
  2. biolith-fabric-3.0.2-beta.1.jar
  3. cardinal-components-api-6.1.2.jar
  4. trinkets-3.10.0.jar
  5. FabricShieldLib-1.7.2-1.21.1.jar
  6. geckolib-fabric-1.21.1-4.7.5.1.jar
  7. owo-lib-0.12.15.4+1.21.jar

your mods & dependencies:

  1. movingelevators-1.4.11-fabric-mc1.21.jar
  2. fabric-api-0.115.6+1.21.1.jar
  3. supermartijn642configlib-1.1.8-fabric-mc1.21.jar
  4. supermartijn642corelib-1.1.18a-fabric-mc1.21.jar

hope this helps trace down this bug!.
I'll keep experimenting and if I find anything different ill post it here

Small update:
I've gone through my mods, and they seem to work with your mod. Everything works. But when I try them all together, the bug appears.

I've even tried to isolate it down to half my mods and the bug doesn't appear, even when I swap the half I'm testing with the other half. It all works!.

Not sure, but it might be an incompatibility with my mods. Where it doesn't show until I install this mod.

I'm going to try a few more tests.
