right-clicking chest, anvil, workbench,... with sun's blessing creates sun strike

Playing on the latest version 1.5.16 and don't know if this is intended or not.
Right-clicking a block that has a gui opens the gui but simultaneously calling a sun strike sometimes.
Shift-right-clicking the block also creates an mostly unwanted sun beam.
