I think this is a bug, but there seem to be way too many naga spawning in my world

Same here. Makes mining ores on stony benches a huge pain, especially early game.

If the spawn rates are intended, perhaps a 'structure' or world gen feature they can only spawn around, like a naga lair
Ended up setting up my base near a stony beach and man was it a mistake. Had to move shortly after.
