Describe the bug
I had someone send me mail to my stripped warped mail box. When I opened my mail box, it looked empty, and I couldn't see or pick up any items from the mail box. However, when I broke the mail box, all the items that were sent to me fell to the ground and I was able to pick them up. This didn't happen with my other mail box (a stripped birch one).

To Reproduce
If applicable, the steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Have someone send mail to stripped warped mail box via a post box
2. Open mail box
3. Break mail box and receive mail

Thanks for the report. I have currently included the fix in 1.20.1 but will be backporting to at least 1.19.4 and 1.19.2.
