[suggestion] ability to remove enchantments or adjust them

Some enchantments can be super OP. The ability to remove or adjust the power of the enchantment would help with balancing modpacks. The ability to limit the total number of enchantments that can be applied to one weapon as well.

If I could just disable some if them though that would fix the issue I'm having where I can't balance guns with enchanted because they're so incredibly op.

+1, on 1.18.2 the issue is just as burning. The enchantments are a cool way to spice up the game, although in some cases, they just make it unplayable. No matter if with add-ons or not, even the base mod weapons enchanted with Trigger Finger become insane. And as pretty much every technical mod pack includes some way to disenchant/drain an enchantment from an item, it's quite easy to build a weapon that just breaks the game.

+1 again for 1.19.2
MrCrayfish already added one of the best configuration features (editing gun characteristics through datapacks), but all of that is thrown off by how broken enchants are.

I've also had trouble balancing due to trigger finger turning anything, even a sniper rifle with a rate of 600, into a rapidfire.
