Uncaught exception in update checker: Crashing on startup without internet connection

If starting with the update checker enabled, but without a(n) (working) internet connection, the game will crash with this report, due to an uncaught java.net.UnknownHostException.
Never mind, was using version 1.7.10-1.1.0.30, which was before 901bf5f.
