Description

Since the update to 1.19.3, there has been terrible lag when breaking and placing blocks. This is similar to viafabric, so I suspect it's related to the update adding viaversion codes.
The "lag" is such that when I attempt to place a block it takes until the server responds for it to appear, whereas before it would appear instantly. Breaking blocks also has a similar "lag" where the block can break a few times until the server responds and then it would disappear. This is extremely exaggerated by having high ping. It is preferable to have everything happen instantly clientside, like it used to be.

Edit:
upon further testing, there is no lag on a 1.19.3 server, but the issue persists in servers with an older version (like 1.18.2)
