Incompatibility with Forge 1.11+ (modid must be lowercase)

It does not. Forge just straight up refuses to recognize the mod. The fml log says this:
[13:30:30] [Client thread/WARN] [FML/]: * The modid MumbleLink is not the same as it's lowercase version. Lowercasing is enforced in 1.11
