Playing on My Nether's Delight version 1.20.1-0.1.7.5, planting the petal-style plants from Region's Unexplored on resurgent soil causes an item pileup, as the plants continue to try and grow when there is no room and end up spitting up an item instead. This behavior doesn't happen with vanilla petals. Is this something that needs fixed on your end or their end, and if so, what is wrong?
