Posted on both issue trackers for parity, however, this seems to be related to this issue, so it may be an issue with the way Swamp Expansion implements plants, and may cause issues with other mods as well.

For now, I'm just disabling the growth effect, but is it possible to blacklist certain tiles from the effect?
