Do you have the Fabric API installed in your mods folder? You need to install the Fabric API (you can find it on CurseForge) as well as the Fabric mod loader in order to use Fabric mods.

What version of Nature's Compass and what version of Fabric are you using?

Fabric version: 0.11.7 for Minecraft 1.17.1
Nature's compass version: 2.0.1 for Minecraft fabric 1.17.1
Xaero's Minimap version: 21.20.0 for Minecraft fabric 1.17.1
