Describe the bug
When mass crafting on servers there can be intense lag when Shift+Click crafting with the recipe book open.

To Reproduce
(The issue becomes more obvious the more mods/modded items there are)

1. Open crafting table
2. Make sure the recipe book is open
3. Take a stack of Gold Blocks and craft them into Gold with Shift+Click or Ctrl+Click

Expected behavior
Even if the items themselves take a second to load visually within the players inventory the game shouldn't appear as though it has frozen or stuttered.

N/A (As far as I know there isn't a good way to log this considering neither the client, nor server, log anything additional when this occurs)

Additional context
The lag can be bad enough to prompt a Not Responding notification from windows or can be something that only last 2-3 seconds depending on how many mods there are. An easy way to test this is to find a semi-large mod pack like AOF and toss in NBT Crafting.

It should be noted that you don't actually have to use the recipe book in any way for this to happen it will occur with manual crafting so long as the recipe book GUI is open.

Verified that this is not reproducible without NBT Crafting installed? This sounds like it might be a performance issue with the Vanilla Recipe Book, and/or with the advancements that unlock recipes.
