Hey, I realize it's probably been quite a while since any work's been done on this mod, but I encountered something that seems like an actual bug the other day in 1.7.10. In NetherOres-[1.7.10]2.3.2B1-25, breaking a nether ore while in creative mode still causes explosions. Is that intended behavior? You've got the ability to detect whether someone is using a fortune pickaxe or not, so having code that detects creative mode or perhaps just not being broken with a pickaxe at all seems like it would be there as well.
