Describe the Issue
It started out with two portals built in the same general area. In a stronghold I had already set up a nether portal and linked it to the portal in the opposite dimension. The need arised (it was a farm of sorts) for another nether portal. So I pre built 2 separate portals in both dimensions but they were still rather close in proximity. What ended up happening was the destinations were swapped. I broke the 2 new portals and decided to try again from square one, only to discover upon traveling to the nether that the portals were still somehow linked despite not a single piece of obsidian remaining from the portals I had destroyed. This is not the first time this has happened but I always shrugged it off in the past as it was usually a one time occurrence corrected almost immediatly. But now when I pass through my overworld portal, it tries to dunk me into the lava (cause there's no blocks for me to stand on once arrived) and when I pass through the nether portal, I can potentially suffocate if I place blocks where the non-existent portal once was.

Do you use any performance-enhancing mods (e.g. OptiFine) or custom server distributions (e.g. SpongeForge)?
I'm using Rubidium and Oculus
