Bug Description
In 1.19.3, #123 was fixed. I can confirm it - when seeing a server with an outdated version in your server list, it does show the verified server 
icon next to it. And with ViaFabric enabled, the server list icon will disappear but upon joining the server state icon is indeed ✅ - all correct here.
Now, the problem with that is that the current implementation doesn't really help most of the players. Sure, it does help ViaFabric/multiconnect users but for the majority of the servers that actually have ViaVersion or the like to allow latest clients to join, these will still get the yellow info icon.
So essentially, to fix this bug, I'd recommend the implementation I suggested in the first place, or at least something like it: #123 (comment) .
Steps to Reproduce
- Join a legacy server such as Hypixel
- Check the chat icon
