Minecraft 1.19.1 added chat tags (they are 2x size in-game):

While the red one refers to unsigned messages and can be an annoyance with this mod's purpose, the yellow one refers to messages that were "modified by the server" or, presumably as of rc3 (don't know how to confirm yet, but I didn't find a new icon), messages that were "hidden for some players".

Therefore, I think that the yellow icons could become useful to some players using NCR, so I suggest adding an option to separately toggle their visibility.
