This is really bizarre so apologies in advance. There has been a slow but consistent trickle of people walking in to the Violet Moon discord with this symptom VazkiiMods/Quark#4674 where Quark 1.20.1 appears to not register any sound events on the client. This makes em fail registry sync when connecting to a multiplayer server.

The common thread: they have No Fog installed, and so far telling them to remove No Fog has a 100% hit rate on making the issue go away. At this point it's happened too many times to be a freak coincidence, but I don't think anyone on the Quark dev team really knows where to start debugging this.

It's probable we're registering sound events wrong and something NoFog is doing is just exposing our mess.
