I joined a minecraft server (server is not modded) and none of the animations seems to work, I tried to config the mod and reset it back to default, did not work. reinstalled multiple times, still did not work.

Need more info than that. Which other mods were present, mc version/modloader, which animation did you try to see etc?

I used 1.21.4 Forge with Optifine.
Other mods are:

• Journey Map
• First person mod

Optifine is in general not supported as it's 2025. Also, make sure you tried animations like holding a map or eating/drinking. Some people seem to think this mod adds walking/running/crouching/hitting animations, which it does not.

I see, Sodium should work.. right? And yes, I have tried holding a map and eating and drinking, and instead of it being animated, my character just gets stuck in it's idle and the walking/running animations don't work. Crouching mostly works but the hands are frozen in place instead of moving back with upper body. During hitting, the entire upper body moves but the hands stay stuck to the upper body instead of moving away from it to punch like it normally does.

Ah that sounds like the animation smoothing gets broken by Optifine.

Nope, that's not it. I removed Optifine and it's still not working. My walking, etc is still broken. And all the animations offered by the pack aren't working either

What animations offered by "the pack"? Also, then you have move mods installed then you listed.
