Not sure if this would just be considered UniDict compatibility, but unlike 1.12.2 behavior, hidden ore dictionary items in NEI do appear in the recipes:

In this example, UniDict hides all ingotSteel but IC2's in NEI, but in recipes all of them cycle through. Hopefully this explanation is not too confusing
