there is clearly enough space on the screen for both, so no reason to minimize the Item Subsets button, just leave it as is so we don't have to hide/unhide the bookmarks panel every time we use that button

There was a lot of trouble with z axis on the subset menu and clicks when both are visible. I'm not willing to do the GUI work to fix it.

That being said. Well tested PRs are welcome

this button is not subsets, it was presets.

P.S. If I have time I'll try to change the subsets

@lawleagle can you tell me the reason why you use subsets?

There it's closed as not planned. I don't like having open issues that there are no plans to address

@slprime I'm talking about the button that says Item Subsets when the Bookmarks Panel is hidden. I don't understand what you mean by "presets"

@slprime I'm in the polishing stages of making my modpack, and it helps to have a list of all the mods installed in-game and I can go through them and see all the items/blocks they add. I also use the bookmarks panel so I find myself having to constantly show/hide the bookmarks panel just to be able to click on the Item Subsets button.

@mitchej123 that's not how issues work. just because no one plans to address it right now it does not mean it's not an issue. though, better to be closed as not planned then as completed
