Was thinking about differences btwn current NEI functionality and JEC functionality, and one thing I kinda realized is that the latter has the ability to easily view the raw material costs for a single recipe, whereas for NEI due to its GUI the ability to set that up is a little more difficult / unconventional.

E.g. if you have on a page 3 recipes that use redstone dust, for you to figure out the total redstone dust you need you have to add a recipe which crafts redstone dust in some capacity. Then you have to actually scroll through the pages to find that recipe you added to know the number you need.

If there was instead some button or mouse over tooltip which listed the numerical counts of all raw materials (aka green highlighted items when holding down shift), that would severely improve NEI's recipe linking functionality.
