I'm using NER 1.0.56 and when i'm looking at certain ores this shows up under the MFR laser tab.

we don't currently have any form of support or interaction for/with MFR so I'm not entirely sure this is our fault - can you confirm it only occurs with NER installed?

Apparently this is a problem from an out of date NEI Integration - suggest you update that
