I see that the creator of Werewolves mentions this incompatibility, is there any way on your end to fix this?

They can fix it, but the fix has been sitting in the pull requests since late October last year.
So basically, just pray that they do it at some point. It's literally a single line of code to fix it, no idea why they haven't done it yet.

It's impossible to update the code myself, I've been trying to no avail.
