Observable mod reports fabric is not installed, when it is; crashes

After installing observable and launching the client, a crash occurs, and observable reports fabric is not installed while fabric is installed.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. in MultiMC create a new 1.17.1 instance.
  2. click the install fabric button, and select version 0.12.12 (currently the latest version as of this report)
  3. install observable v.0.1.2-1.17
  4. install fabric language kotlin v.1.7.1+kotlin1.6.10
  5. install architectury v2.8.54
  6. launch instance

I'm apparently a noob and didn;t realize the "fabric" it was telling me to install was the "fabric API mod", and only just realized that is listed on architectury's dependency list. Closing ticket now. Sorry about this.
