Visual glitch with Immersive Engineering wires when connected at their max length.

What happened?
Alright so I'm playing on the "Engineer's Life 2" modpack and when connecting any immersive engineering wire from one object to another at the cable's maximum distance (especially HV wires at 32 blocks distance), the wire will have this distored, stretched look to it. The only way I've found to stop this is by reducing the distance between the two points (usually a 7 block reduction if using HV wires).
I noticed that if you don't use shaders and enable "Use Compact Vertex Format" in the Rubidium menu, then the glitch will happen again, but cease if you disable that option. However, when using shaders this option makes no difference whether it's enabled or not.
I'm assuming oculus discreetly enables a similar form of vertex rendering when shaders are enabled, which might be causing the issue? I don't know, that's beyond me. Just thought I'd mention that in case it helps in any way.
Additionally, this issue doesn't happen at all when using optifine. However, optifine tends to make most modpacks take eons to load and Rubidium + Oculus runs incredibly better by comparison.
