I used to run with Opt***** (the mod who shall not be named) and there was a nifty tool for getting way better FPS with shaders. The "Render Quality" slider. It would make the game a but more fuzzy while still giving great shader visuals and FPS. You could reduce shadow and hand quality along with the entire shader quality independent of shader settings. I just think it might be a feature to look into. I don't get great FPS on Oculus unfortunately.
