Additional context

I did briefly install Not Enough Crashes as a general safety measure (because crashing is extremely annoying as I have to load the game again), which produced some unreadable text in a menu as if there's unknown unicode text. After uninstalling, the problem persists.

A secondary issue regarding dependencies for other mods resulted in the crash regarding Oculus.

This ticket is closed as it is now unnecessary.
