The Bayou has enormous amounts of lag attributing to the vines and has the same problem as jungle biomes (chunks regrowing and decaying constantly in a big loop.) I only get about 3 FPS when entering, which is a shame because it really is very beautiful.

unfortunately as you stated this happens with vanilla jungles as well, it just comes with the territory in this case, I can look into decreasing some vines and stuff maybe the growth rates or the initial amounts on the trees but besides that.
