Just a suggestion to add the Block Break Event into OpenBlocks. This will help both developers of protection mods, as well as lowering the issues of people using MCPC requesting protection. Forge added the events, so its time to utilize them in favor of both developers and users.

We already do.

If thats the case, I guess its time for me to do more testing into why the block breakers still can break blocks when the event should be canceled
