I'm unable to extract from your brain information about exact snapshot you are using.

We fixed similar bug in openmodslib snapshot 220.

Mine were working just fine until just earlier today and I'm not positive what changed. I'm using OpenBlocks snapshot 432 and OpenModsLib snapshot 224. I'll do a little testing, but I can't promise much as I haven't had a whole lot of time to play lately.

I just figured out my issue... are elevators supposed to drain experience each use in 1.7.10?

There is a config option so it doesn't need to use XP, its set on by default but you could disable if you like.

I don't really like changing default config options just because I want it easier, but I'm more curious than anything; it seems a little underpowered now.

We implemented that in Jan 2014 (at least 6 releases ago). We did it because it was OP (compared to vanilla elevators or teleporters from other mods).
