Luggage item dropping too far from entity, causing loss.

When I shift right click my luggage, I often find the item drops then disappears before I can pick it up, reappearing several blocks away. This can and has caused the luggage to be lost entirely, including all inventory data within it. For example, just recently I tried to pick up a luggage in the nether, and the item moved from a nether fortress walkway to above a lava lake, which it fell into.

This would not be as problematic if a luggage's inventory data was stored in a similar manner to gravestones, as its latest inventory could be restored.

I have this issue while playing on a server running the Yogscast Complete modpack. (MC 1.6.4, OpenBlocks 1.2.9)

I'm going to bet significant money I don't have that 1.6.4 is no longer supported.

Yes, it isn't supported.

Anyway, not bug IMO (maybe suggestion). If you lose item, it's only because you did that in risky place. We can place item directly into inventory, but if vanilla stuff like glowstone mining is risky, why this would be easy.

About 'storing data like graves': they store data inside tile entity, so no magic here. If you are thinking about storing inventory on death, it only stores information in separate file, not on player.

What you suggest is ender-luggage. We have this in plans already.

I never took the bet.

The bug is the way the luggage item isn't dropped at the last location of the entity, although my later comments regarding the luggage inventory are suggestions. Thanks anyway.
