text is corrupted

as soon as i downloaded the optifabric for 1.20.1 and booted up the game, all the text was corrupted
all the text looks like this: "[][][][][][]"

Ive got the same issue. Tried to downgrade the API to 0.85 but it didnt make a difference. Is there any other fix?
Minecraft works just fine with Optifabric turned off.

Minecraft works just fine with Optifabric turned off.
The changes were made in 0.86, so downgrading should work fine. If it isn’t, you have other mod incompatibilities you need to address. Running Fabric API 0.85, Optifine full for 1.20.1, and Optifabric works fine.
