As you can see on the screenshot, using the latest optifabric and latest optifine (optifabric 1.7.0 and OptiFine_1.16.3_HD_U_G5)

This is happening with water:

I'd like to precise that it's not happening using the same optifine version:

I'm not alone having it, we're a group of friends with the same issue, seem to happen when water have to fill only a part of stairs / slabs

@DArkes1312 is this just a visual bug? can you press f3 and see if there’s actually water there?

It is indeed a visual bug since the water isn't supposed to be seen trough the stair, but there's indeed water here.

I feel like it's a problem with the waterlogging and the water trying to connect to the water next to it but it's really hard to reproduce which is the reason of why I provided a .schem ; I could provide a map with the bug if needed instead !

I also have this weird glitch with stairs and slabs and I think it is somehow linked

try turning off fast render

Did that already, tried to tweak everything under performance without any success, I'd also like to say that the exact optifine settings work fine outside of fabric and that I am not using any mods except fabricapi, optifabric and optifine. :(
