1.18.2 crashes 'whilst batching chunks' exit code -1

So my minecraft seems to crash because of an error while using OptiFabric and the lastest version of Optifine. I know that I have a LOT of mods installed and in the OptiFabric section of the error log (link below) it says that OptiFabric had no error. However when I remove the OptiFabric mod from my mods folder the error does not occur anymore. This might not have to do with OptiFabric itself (since it says it didn't cause an error) but I would still appreciate it if anybody could try to help me.
NOTE: This error does not seem to happen at any specific time, for example on loading in to a world or anything like that. Sometimes the game works for at least 3 minutes of wandering to random places and other times it crashes when I turn around.
P.S. I tried updating my Fabric API, however using the latest version causes the game (on singleplayer worlds) to completely stop working, indicating an error that my "datapacks" (which I have 0 of) are causing an error.
After that I downgraded a few versions and I am now on v0.53.4(1.18.2). And now my game is stuck on an infinite world creation screen without any errors in sight, it had been at 100% for about 3 minutes before I gave up.
@TheDiamondMage it seems to depend on what version of Fabric API you use.
