What happened?

Hi, I'm really enjoying your mod Oreganized so the idea of Doom & Gloom really got me excited. The problem arose when I tried using the copper pickaxe from Better Beginnings: the pickaxe acted like it would if used on a material too hard to mine. So did the iron pickaxe.
I tried using both mods on another profile with no other mods and the same bug occured.
