It appears to be an issue I noticed between my testing environment (usually just has origins and the required mods) and my actual server. That some origin power granted recipes were not working. It would appear to my testing that visual workbench rendered it impossible to use a power based recipe in a workbench (still functions if its small enough to fit in your inventory 2x2 it seems.)

putting this here to inform that this was a thing I ran into, and what my brief testing of the issue revealed.
