Turning normal leather into rabbit hide

So I have a mod that has a recipe that overlaps the Lepus recipe for creating rabbit hide (The betterend mod, specifically the recipe to create leather strips) and I was wondering if you'd consider updating the recipe one day to prevent issues like this happening with other mods? Such as adding a tool into the recipe like shears or something? Or making it so putting 2 leather next to each other creates 2 rabbit hide. If you don't plan on changing it that's fine but I thought I'd put it out there since I imagine this problem may arise for other origin specific recipes and other mods
