i cannot get one person on my server to get an origin. i cannot also find out how the command to set an origin is to work, though i have tried. the person has had their player data deleted trying to fix this issue and they are completely invincible to all ingame damage.

That happens when the player does not have Origins installed correctly. If it doesn't work for them on a singleplayer world, it won't work on a server.
